GreenPass and Happiness & Smilling Elderly Care Services（HSECS） reached a strategic cooperation
Smart elderly care has been used more and more widely in the elderly care service system, and intelligence, IoT, and interconnection are the main directions of evolution. The construction of blockchain, which has been repeatedly proposed recently, will make this system more closely connected and realize the trinity of service, operation, and supervision. Recently, GreenPass and Happiness & Smilling Elderly Care Services （HSECS） reached a strategic cooperation to jointly develop the field of “blockchain + elderly care”.
“Blockchain + elderly care” covers a wide range of areas, and it serves the precious wealth of our society-the elderly who have experienced their lives, which we should cherish. Faced with the current global anti-epidemic situation, elderly care institutions are in a weak position. We need to introduce strong programs to strengthen the protection of elderly groups in elderly care institutions. HSECS and GreenPass have joined hands quickly. The elderly care service system uses the blockchain technology provided by GreenPass, using decentralized identity (DID) and verifiable credentials (VC), to achieve a nursing home management scenario under health and epidemic prevention.
The access control of visitors during the epidemic is most important for elderly care institutions. When family members and visitors need to enter the hospital, the GreenPass health code is shown to the guards, and the inspectors scan the QR code and check the body temperature. When the body temperature data and travel information are within the normal range, the green code is released to pass. In the follow-up version, we will also add the function of uploading the health code in advance and making an appointment to simplify the verification process at entrance and enter quickly. GreenPass combines multiple data dimensions such as daily body temperature, medical test reports, and location information to generate a more dynamic and accurate “health code”.
The training and management of elderly service personnel is an important part of the management in elderly care institutions. We set up an internal level training system to issue digital certificates. Use GreenPass to manage these certificates to achieve verifiability and traceability. In the later stage, a corresponding performance system and governance certificate will be established to link training experience, business capabilities and salary levels to achieve internal incentives.
In the process of cooperation, in order to avoid “digital discrimination”, the GreenPass team added function calls applicable to WeChat applets, making the use of decentralized identities (DID) and verifiable credentials (VC) easier and in line with user needs. The barriers of using the application by ordinary users are greately reduced.
The layout and practice of the “blockchain + elderly care” of HSECS is not only to solve the immediate problems, but to use the data privacy management and security assurance brought by the blockchain technology, to establish a framework for global collaboration across nursing homes, institutions, and industries.
In the future, we believe that more smart divices will enter the elderly care service industry, and people will work together with those smart divices. Therefore, the mutually-identified DID and governance token will be a necessary mechanism for coordinating the productivity. In view of this trend, we expect more blockchain applications like GreenPass to focus on the elderly care industry, jointly build an elderly care service system, and use the technology as cornerstone to build the new infrastructure for our Livelihood industry.
